Job Description: We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our corporate office in Surrey, British Columbia (Canada). This role is responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment and general building maintenance by conducting quality control analysis to evaluate performance and compliance for smooth operations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of VanGogh’s production and processing equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Liaise with CNC Programmers and Machinists to troubleshoot program, mechanical or tool-related issues.
  • Inspect the operating condition of all equipment and log repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Train production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
  • Complete general repairs for plumbing, heating systems and other building components according to fire safety plans, general repairs for plumbing, HVAC system and other building components.
  • Coordinate repairs with contractors as needed.
  • Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual) and be able to perform emergency repairs.
  • Source and price replacement or repair items by following VanGogh’s purchasing guidelines.
  • Coordination/Organization of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and tools to ensure that downtime is minimized while keeping costs within the budget assigned.
  • Analyzing operational problems, testing equipment, correcting issues, developing and maintaining plans and providing input and suggestions regarding maintenance issues.
  • Regular maintenance of CNC Machines and dealing with technicians.
  • Regular maintenance of company vehicles (forklifts, company vans etc.) and keeping maintenance logs up to date.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills


  • Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
  • Prior experience in Maintenance would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in preventive maintenance and running diagnostics for the equipment.
  • Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment as per the company standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of machinery maintenance.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
  • Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports.

Note: Competitive salary will be proposed depending upon experience and skillset.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00- $90,000.00 per year
